Kerry Splatt Principal
Kerry Splatt, BA, LLB (UQ), Qld Law Society, Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law.
Kerry Splatt is the firm’s Principal and was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia in 1982. Kerry is also admitted as a Solicitor of the High Court of England and Wales.
Kerry is able to act for clients with matters arising in both of these countries.
Kerry was an Associate to a former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Queensland, a tutor in contract law at QUT and has volunteered at the Caxton Street Legal Service.
Kerry has also served on the following committees: -
- Accredited Specialist Board of the Queensland Law Society;
- Queensland branch of the Australian Lawyers Alliance;
- Queensland Law Society Insurance Law Task Force – Working with the Queensland Government and Insurers in relation to the reform of Insurance Law;

Luke Randell Consultant Senior Solicitor
Luke Randell LLB BSC is a home grown Queenslander who completed his schooling and law degree in Brisbane. After completing his studies Luke started with the firm back in 1999 as an Articled Clerk, and was admitted as a solicitor in 2001. He has continued with the firm to this day and now acts as a Consultant Solicitor to the Firm. He has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation.
Luke is admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. He has participated on various Queensland Law Society and Australian Lawyers Alliance Committees.
Luke seeks to provide personalised friendly and cost effective service to clients and is committed to achieving the best possible outcome for clients through the application of a strong work ethic.
Nicholas Scott Solicitor
Nicholas is from Queensland and completed all of his schooling in the Logan City and Brisbane area. He attended the Queensland University of Technology and completed a double degree, graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts.
Nicholas commenced work at KM Splatt and Associates in January 2010. He has recently completed his Professional Legal Training Course and is in the process of being admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland this year.
Samuel Kenny Trainee Solicitor
Sam started working part-time at KM Splatt & Associates in 2011 whilst studying law at Bond University. He has a keen interest in the litigation process and is committed to achieving the best outcomes for clients. He completed his education at St Joseph’s College Gregory Terrace in 2004 and commenced his law degree in 2008.
Away from work he enjoys running and spending time on the Gold Coast with family and friends. He demonstrates enthusiasm, dedication and an appreciation for individuals who have been involved in motor vehicle and workplace accidents.
Samuel Smith Trainee Solicitor
Samuel commenced work at KM Splatt and Associates in August of 2010. He completed a double degree with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business at Queensland University of Technology. He is commencing his Practical Legal Training in 2012 and aims to be admitted as a Solicitor in the later part of the year.
Samuel is passionate about representing everyday people from all walks of life who have been injured through no fault of their own. Samuel has adopted a thorough approach to investigating and analysing claims no matter how complex the case. He is approachable and always willing to carefully explain any complex issues in easy to understand language.
Pauline Smith Senior Managing Law Clerk
After finishing high school Pauline commenced work at Williams & Williams, one of Queensland’s leading and well respected legal firms. Since that time Pauline has worked solely in the legal industry and has over 25 years legal experience and is well respected by her peers.
Pauline commenced her employment with KM Splatt & Associates in March 2001 and is our Senior Paralegal. Her knowledge and understanding has brought great strength to the team.
Pauline believes that her greatest privilege in her career is being able to assist the firm’s clients and make a real different to their lives.
Patrick Smith Consultant Client Relations Manager
Patrick joined the firm in May 2007after 20 years client relations experience with several of Queensland’s most customer focused organisations. He prides himself on exceptional client service quality and personalised attention designed to meet our clients’ needs.

Francesca O’Reilly Law Clerk
Fran started working at KM Splatt & Associates after finishing Grade 12. She has over 5 years experience working in personal injury law for both plaintiff and defendant Insurance. Fran has returned to KM Splatt & Associates and is studying law QUT.
Pauline Stalley Senior Paralegal
Pauline is a Senior Paralegal who has worked for K M Splatt & Associates since 1997 and has over 33 years legal experience. Pauline has the day to day responsibility for the management of the post settlement section and is committed to dealing with each file with a high degree of professionalism and efficiency and ensuring the client is kept informed at all times during the post settlement process.
